Creative teachers, hands-on projects, centers and theme-based classrooms facilitate the learning process and make it possible for educators to reach multiple intelligences.

What are the benefits of belonging to a mixed-aged classroom?  "Research by Vygotsky and other leading psychologists show that mixed-age grouping expands the heterogeneity of children in the same class, creating conditions that support a vision of more competent children spurring the development of their less advanced peers.  The play of younger children is more cognitively and socially advanced; self esteem and attitudes toward school are more positive, and older children practice nurturing and help giving--important life skills."
